Blog from the RV Polarstern: MOSAiC midweek update

Just a quick update to show you a couple photos of the progress getting our research site set up. Attached below is a view from the starboard side of the ship's bridge looking N along the ice ridge where the main sites are located. We have a power line running along this ridge. The TROPOS balloon was filled today and moored at the New Balloon Town site. The MetCity tower is mostly complete and undergoing instrument tests, but not yet raised. The ARM radiation and precipitation instruments are also up and running. The AWI mobile flux sleds are prepped and ready to deploy.
