For each pair of images, students spend 1-2 minutes writing what they notice and what they wonder in their notebook (T-chart recommended).
Extension:
- Students work with the person next to them to compare their lists and see if they can add two more things to their lists
- Each pair chooses one item (a notice or a wonder) to share with the whole class
- Finally ask, “Did anyone else notice or wonder anything they’d like to share?”
