Tasks

I see my role as soaking up as much knowledge and experience as I can. I will be connecting learners of all ages and backgrounds with this amazing expedition, creating hands-on activities to support learning about Arctic science, and inspiring curiosity. I work as an environmental educator with students and teachers, so am especially excited to share all sorts of stories with them! While on the Federov, I will also be involved in presenting to and providing peer feedback/mentoring to MOSAiC School students.

What are you most excited about the expedition?

I have never been on an icebreaker in the Arctic, and I have only seen sea ice from a distance. I'm excited about being able to experience it all, and also very excited about the ground-breaking science research that this expedition will support. I expect major challenges -- I just don't know what they are yet!

What do you love most about the Arctic?

It is such a unique and important ecosystem, with all sorts of strange animals and mesmerizing phenomenon. It is also home to diverse and resilient peoples with vibrant, dynamic ways of life and cultures.
