Maximillian Maahn

Maximillian Maahn, a CIRES and NOAA Physical Sciences Division scientist from Boulder, Colorado, will serve as a research scientist working remotely during the MOSAiC expedition. Maahn, whose key science focus is precipitation and clouds at high latitudes, will work on developing and providing an optical snowfall sensor for the mission—to explore how is snowfall formed in mixed-phase clouds. Maahn hopes to investigate how snowfall is formed in mixed-phase clouds.
